Now: What I'm up to
This is my now-page, where you can see what I’ve been up to lately and what my current focus is.
Updated on: September 28, 2025Life
The biggest storm of the year (called "Ragasa") decided to visit us here in Hong Kong in September. The entire city prepared for a potential disaster but thankfully it does not seem like the storm caused as much destruction as people feared it would.
That being said, a lot of trees in our neighborhood and all around Hong Kong have been damaged or destroyed which is always a sad thing to see.
Other than that everything has been great lately. I am very much looking forward to colder weather though...fall can't come soon enough!
Work & Projects
- In September all of the "26" updates have been released for Apple's platforms. I made sure that both of my Apple Watch apps (Scot and Kanjure) are ready and recompiled prior to release.
- I also released version 2.0 of "Scot", my tennis & padel tracker. This update I added a companion app for the iPhone that can be used to show the match score live. The cool thing about this is that you can connect the iPhone to any display you want (either with a cable of even using the mirror/AirPlay functionalities) to broadcast the score live to any (stadium) screen you want! Check it out here.
- I shared some early visuals of one of the projects I have been working on this summer over on my Dribbble page. The planned September launch of that project had to be postponed for at least another month but I hope to have an update on this soon. Still very excited about this one!
- October is going to be a busy month. I have a major new gig starting on October 1st as well as some older things to wrap up. I'm quite excited for all of the new things I will be working on soon though.
Writing
After not having written much over the entire summer, I finally published two new blog posts about the early adoption of Apple's new "Liquid Glass" design system:
- The first post highlights some apps by big companies who have chosen to start with the implementation of Apple's new design direction early.
- The second blog post showcases a few indie apps by some of my favorite indie developers who have already updated their apps with some "Liquid Glass".
I've been feeling much more inspired lately so I hope to get back into a more regular pace now when it comes to writing.
